      Course Objectives The aim of this course is to ensure that students gain information on the concept of volunteering and its applications, become aware of social problems, gain humanitarian, social, cultural, moral values and skills, and become actively participating individuals by developing/being a part of volunteering projects.
      Learning Outcomes

      The students who succeeded in this course;

      • Will be able to explain volunteering and basic concepts about volunteering.
      • Will be able to explain the importance of civil society culture, participation and volunteering.
      • Will be able to discuss social problems with a cause and effect relationship.
      • Will be able to discuss the relationship between a pluralistic society and quality of life and sustainability through different themes (ex: children/youth, city life, environment).
      • Will be able to develop applicable projects to generate solutions for social problems, within the understanding of lifelong learning.
      • Will be able to suggest goals, objectives, strategies and tactics for a volunteering project.
      Course Description This course will comprise theoretical knowledge sharing and applications on volunteering. In this course, students are expected to take part in volunteer work under the leadership of public institutions, local administrations, civil society organisations (CSOs) and create projects which seek social benefits.
